Does the Past Exist Yet? Evidence Suggests Your Past Isn’t Set in Stone
This starts to get weird, even in the context of quantum physics, which is completely weird. To paraphrase, you don’t understand quantum physics, you just get used to it. Well, now, really.
Ya’all know the idea behind the anecdotal Schrödinger’s Cat, right? The idea that all possible states of something are potentially viable and it’s only when it is observed, do the possibilities “collapse” into the outcome which is observed.
Ok, so now, the math and the experiments suggest that the past operates the same way. We already know that to all intents and purposes, past and future are the same so far as quantum physics is concerned- hence the mystery of time itself. Now, maybe we get to create the past the way that we create the present.
Lots of great New Age type of interpretations are possible too- they’re always fun. Let’s roll a little dogma and superstition into our quantum reality.
